This spinybacked orbweaver spider and I would like to wish you a Happy Halloween in 2022!

The photo isn’t exactly tack sharp, but I thought the subject was appropriate to the season. I just love the odd-looking smiley face formed by the pattern of dots on this orb weaver.

I figured what better spider to feature today than a marbled orb-weaver. Some folks also refer to it as a pumpkin spider, and I bet you can tell from looking at it why that is.
