Field NotesWHITE-THROATED SPARROW

In my eyes White-throated Sparrow are one of the easier of the sparrows to identify. They have a very distinctive white throat, what appear to be yellow eye brows, and black (or brown) and white stripes on the head. The white throat almost resembles a small greying beard.

This White-throated Sparrow was one of the first birds to land very close to me after I started using a longer lens. It must have been just within my minimum focusing distance.
