The Southern Leopard Frog is a distinctive beautiful looking frog. It can have a rich green color to it, as seen in this photo, but can also be mostly brown. It has dark spots along its back and around its body and is likely where it got its name. As with some other species it has ridge lines along the sides of its back, which are a light color. It also has a lighter line along the sides of its head moving towards the tip of its mouth. I like the look of this species, so I look forward to making better images of Southern Leopard Frogs.
