Field Notes: CAROLINA WREN
The Carolina Wren is very loud for its size. Once you learn their song it's easy to pick it out. I have one that sings outside my window most mornings. The Carolina Wren in the photo was in the middle of a song, as you can see motion blur in the lower half of the beak.
Their tail is often seen pointed upward, though in this photo it is pointed downward.
